How to use
The dose of this medication will be different for different patients, and the doctor must always tell you how to use the medicine, but the usual does is:
For relief of nausea and vomiting:
Adults: 10 mg up to 3 times a day; maximum 30 mg per day.
Children (body weight up to 35 kg): 250 microgram/kg up to 3 times a day; maximum 750 micrograms/kg per day.
Children (body weight 35 kg and above): 10 mg up to 3 times a day; maximum 30 mg per day.
For gastro-intestinal pain in palliative care:
Adults: 10 mg 3 times a day, before meals.
Children: Not licensed for use in children for gastro-esophageal reflux disease
Missed dose:
If you miss a dose of medicine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses
Side effects
Every medicine by the side of therapeutic effects may cause some adverse effects, although not everybody gets them. If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effect not listed in this leaflet:
dry mouth, anxiety, diarrhea, drowsiness, headache, lactation disorders, libido loss, arrhythmias, depression, gynecomastia, movement disorders, urinary retention.
