Vitamin D3 deficiency prevention and treatment
How to use :
The dose of this medicine will be different for different patients, and always the doctor tells how to use the medicine, but the usual dose is:
Vitamin D3 deficiency prevention:
Adults: One capsule monthly.
Pediatrics: Use and dose must be determined by your doctor.
Elderly: Use and dose must be determined by your doctor.
Vitamin D3 deficiency treatment:
Adults: One capsule containing 50000 international units (IU) once a week for 8 weeks, then one capsule monthly as maintenance dose.
Children: Use and dose must be determined by your doctor.
Elderly: Use and dose must be determined by your doctor.
Missed dose:
If you miss a dose of medicine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses.
Side effects :
Every medicine by the side of therapeutic effects may cause some adverse effects, although not everybody gets them, if you experience contact your physician or pharmacist:
Early symptoms of overdose: Bone pain, constipation, diarrhea, drowsiness, dryness of mouth, headache (continuing), increased thirst, increase in frequency of urination (especially at night) or in amount of urine, irregular heartbeat, itching skin, loss of appetite, metallic taste, muscle pain, nausea or vomiting, unusual tiredness or weakness.
Late symptoms of overdose: Bone pain, calcium deposits in tissues outside of the bone, cloudy urine, drowsiness, increased sensitivity of eyes to light or irritation of eyes, itching of skin, loss of appetite, loss of sex drive, mood or mental changes, muscle pain, nausea or vomiting, protein in the urine, redness or discharge of the eye, eyelid, or lining of the eyelid,runny nose, weight loss.
Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
